Server-side-only analytics

I would like to suggest the implementation of a server-side-only analytics mode in SlimStat and WP-Statistics. The goal is to enable full analytics functionality without relying on any client-side components such as JavaScript, cookies, or browser fingerprinting. This would help prevent GDPR-related complications by: - Eliminating the need for user consent banners - Avoiding tracking scripts or resources loaded in the browser - Ensuring full compliance for privacy-conscious organizations - Providing reliable data even when users block scripts or cookies - Ideally, this feature would analyze server logs, headers, and request patterns to deliver core metrics like page views, referrers, devices, geolocation (from IP), etc., without touching the client at all. This would be especially useful for European websites where GDPR, ePrivacy, and national interpretations (e.g., in Germany) set a high bar for data processing.
